So Saddam is dead.

I want to thank Our Military for their service to Our Country. I appreciate you protecting me and my children. It don't go unnoticed. THANK YOU!!!!

Sounds harsh. Saddam is dead. To many, it sounds like Heavens words. I am worried over the repercussions though. What does the world have to look forward to now? I hear Evangelists stating all the time that this is the beginning of the end. Well only The Good Lord knows when the time is. He will bring it when it is his time, not when we predict it to be.
With Saddam death, I have to worry as a Mother an American and as a Single Female.
WHAT NOW???
As a Christian I am ready, as a Woman I am scared of what the world has to endure. I am afraid of the toll it will have. I do have faith in Our Troops and I am thankful they are there to protect my sons and I. I know they will do their best to take care of America. (As a Mother I have the desire to bake you all some goodies.)
I will do my praying, I will trust in The Lord. We will get through whatever we have to and keep America safe.
Smile at a Stranger today.

I am headed to work

I want to thank Our Military for their service to Our Country. I appreciate you protecting me and my children. It don't go unnoticed. THANK YOU!!!!

Well today marks a full week of work for me. WOW. The last few have been short weeks due to lil Dude being sick. It has been no fun. He stops breathing a few times a night. Due to enlarged tonsils. His breathing is labored. And he snores A LOT! And LOUD. I can't wait for today to get over as I then have 3 weeks off. Perfect timing for a layoff I suppose. I can't afford lil Dude to be getting sick before surgery, this way he isn't at daycare we all know that will cut down his chances. It is going to be a busy next few days. I have to finish shopping and get my cakes made. Boston Cream and Strawberry. Always a favorite in my family. I make the cakes yet eat the Pumpkin Pie. They are good cakes, but I know how to make them and I can do it when ever I want. I just really like Pumpkin Pie.
Well I am off as I have to be out the door in 20 minutes and I need to wake lil Dude.
Have a great Friday!!
Smile at a Stranger today.

Surgery for lil Dude

I want to thank Our Military for their service to Our Country. I appreciate you protecting me and my children. It don't go unnoticed. THANK YOU!!!!

Well I tried to avoid it, wanted to ignore it, but I can't. lil Dude has to have surgery. His tonsils are getting bigger and he is snoring a lot more. He slows down on his breathing and starts to cough due to the lack of oxygen getting into his blood while sleeping. I am not liking this one bit. I know it is a routine surgery and it is performed daily. But this time it is MY BABY. I didn't deal well with his teeth being removed, what am I going to do with an all out surgery? Janurary 26th will be the day. He isn't aware of any of it naturally. He just knows lots of Doctors have looked in his throat. Lots of talks to mommy. He is a good patient. He sits there like a big boy. Lets them do all they need to do. Now when he has to get his pre-op labs done, not sure how he will deal with that...yikes! Not sure I can deal with that.
Well he is asking to play Monopoly jr so I have to run.
All is good here. Christmas time is rapidly approaching and we are busy busy busy....
Have a great day and smile at a stranger.

NO POWER!!!

I want to thank Our Military for their service to Our Country. I appreciate you protecting me and my children. It don't go unnoticed. THANK YOU!!!!

The weather has been frightful. The ice is beautiful, and my attitude has been pissy.....Typical Michigan this time of year. We were without power for 32 hrs starting Friday morning. No power till 4pm on Saturday. It was cold. I went to my mom's, though she is on her way to Texas driving in all that crappy weather. Mom was without power as well, but she has a generator! My nephew who lives there got it up and running. He kept it running for me and lil dude. Every 4 hrs he had to go refill them. We had two running. One for the heat and one for the T.V. and fridge. Candles and board games was a source of entertainment for lil dude. We went to the store and bought Clue jr. It is fun. lil Dude learned that game fast. We also bought Leapfrog games. Memory and Card Games. Memory you have to match the English word and picture to the Spanish word and picture. It is fun, and I make sure I say each match so lil Dude learns Spanish. He loves to learn. He sure has the game Memory down. He remembers where things are real well. As for the Card Games, well it is math Rummy and letter/color Go Fish. We had fun with that too. It has several different ways to play and we played each way. It also has this holder thing so lil Dude can hold all his cards. He loved it. But I can say he sure was happy when we got power back and he was able to play his Game Cube. He played it for 10 minutes then wanted to play Clue jr again. So we played.
My internet was down till 9:30 this morning. Which was ok. We got to go to bed without to much fuss. This morning though when I tried to get coffee, I had to run water for 55 minutes before it ran clear. Good thing I didn't do laundry first thing as I usually do. Can you imagine the rust stains? YUCK!
At Church today I learned there is a movie playing called The Nativity Story I am going to check out. Yes I know the story but you can never see it to much. We play this song in which it says.......I give my life to you .....As you gave your life for me. Beautiful. I like that song. I get goose bumps each time I hear it.
Go over to Stacy's and give prayers, as her brother has been in an accident.
Smile at a Stranger today!!
